Rekker

Privacy

Plain language, no jargon. Last updated July 2026.

Rekker is built by riders who dislike being tracked. We keep data to the minimum, store it in the EU, and never share or sell it. Here is exactly what happens.

Your email (if you sign up)

If you leave your email for early access, we use it only to send you the test link and, if you tick the optional box, occasional product updates. Nothing else. It is stored in a Cloudflare database hosted in the EU. We never share or sell it.

You can unsubscribe from updates with one click in any email, and you can ask us to delete your address entirely at any time. Just email [email protected].

The app itself

Rekker works without an account. Your routes, favourites and settings live on your own device, not on our servers. When you use the desktop-to-phone handoff, your route is stored briefly (about 30 days) under a random link id so your phone can fetch it, then it expires automatically.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. We count anonymous events like "a route was generated" to understand what works, with no cookies, no accounts and nothing that identifies you personally. There is no advertising tracking, and we do not build personal profiles.

Map and place data

Resupply, water and opening-hours information comes from open data such as OpenStreetMap. Planning a route may contact open mapping services to fetch that data; on the road the app runs fully offline.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, get a copy, or have it deleted. Email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
